Status to Board as of 02-09-2013

Details

The following New Database Task Force status was sent to Renata Lowe for sharing at the February 9, 2013 NSCS Board meeting:

  • Core Task Force members have been recruited: Ellen Pullin (lead), Renata Lowe, Jim Miller, Karen Rigotti, John Zhang. (Although John is leaving town, he has agreed to continue to participate.)
  • The first draft of a document describing the requirements and scope of the project has been shared with Task Force members.
  • A website for the project has been established. The Long Term Support (LTS) version (2.5.8) of Joomla! (content management system) and the latest CiviCRM release (4.2.6) were installed in this environment. CiviCRM documentation has been made available to Task Force members via the website.
  • A small batch of contacts (the six organizations which gave grants/matching gifts to NSCS in 2012) has been successfully imported into the CiviCRM database.
